The tribe brought in new casino leadership to revamp operations and reopen the casino. New Chief Operations Officer Christian Goode negotiated with the National Indian Gaming Commission and local officials in California, and reached a new deal with Unite Here! Local 19 to guarantee good-paying jobs and benefits for about 700 casino employees with annual wage increases.

In 2002 the State of New York signed the initial Compact with the Seneca Nation of Indians to offer Class III gaming in an area of exclusivity know as Western New York.

In September 2002 it was announced that Seneca Niagara Casino would be the first to open, in 90 days, on New Years Eve. Members of our team became the opening management team and were responsible for the establishment of the slot operation and the installation of 2,600 slots prior to opening.
